An occasional part of this blog will be to introduce dog-friendly places. To kick off this category, we would like to introduce Point Isabel Regional Shoreline.
This doggy paradise is located along the eastern shore of the San Francisco Bay in Richmond, CA and is the largest off-leash dog park in the US.
The park is open between 5 am and 10 pm. Admission and parking are free.
A great day can be had for dogs and humans alike. Beautiful panoramic views of Marin County, San Francisco, and the Golden Gate Bridge can be enjoyed with a nice walk, swim, or game of fetch.
The park is very clean and well cared for with biodegradable clean-up bags thoughtfully posted throughout the park.
There is even a dog grooming/pet store, Mudpuppy’s Tub & Scrub, and a dog-friendly cafe, The Sit & Stay Café, on site.
We greatly enjoyed our time spent here and recommend it to other dog lovers.
Lots of dogs enjoyed the water. There was even a ramp.
“Yes, bring that to me… Wait, where are you going!?”
King of the Rock
We bought some treats at Mudpuppy’s. They were taste approved!
