Yesterday, we packed up the pugs for a day at the park and joined about 20 other pugs and their owners for PROS Pug Sunday event. The weather was perfect. Some pugs ran circles around each other under the trees.
Kento joined this group. His eyes were big, and his curly pig-tail was stretched out and moving side to side like a rudder as he ran and turned. Too bad he forgot that he’s a slow moving meatball. The younger, energetic pups ended up lapping and occasionally tripping over him as they sped by. He pretended not to notice.
Moka hung out by our feet as we talked pugs with the other owners. It is always interesting to hear other people’s stories, find out interesting tips for common pug issues, and make new friends.
PROS brought two of their current rescue pugs with them. Meet Jack and Cindy.
Jack is 8 yrs old. His owner, who was leaving the country and could not take him along, left him at a shelter. PROS sprung him from the shelter and has been giving him care for extreme dry eyes. He is now ready for adoption. To find out more about Jack, please visit the PROS website.

Cindy is an apricot pug. She was left at a local shelter with a bad eye injury. Due to this injury the shelter could not adopt her out. PROS came to the rescue, took her in, and will take care of her medical issues. She is not ready for adoption yet.
Here are some other photos from this event.

We had an unexpected visitor, and he didn’t want to leave! He was very cute 😀
